MAY STREET ART WEEK!

Freezing rain and cancelled school can't keep us down!  A week of creating and learning with 12 Arts in Education teaching artists at May Street Elementary's Art Week was enjoyed by all.  It was a pleasure for students, teachers and teaching artists.  The weather cooperated on our make up day that extended Art Week a bit into a second week.  Bucket drumming with our new teaching artist, Tim Snyder was a real hit with students!  The ceramic bird houses students made with potter Pam Springer while studying texture made everyone smile.  We are hoping the birds who find refuge in them this spring know how very lucky they are to be living in original works of art created by budding young architects!
