Oregon artist with a love of color, collaboration, and paint! Working with K-12 students, Allison Bell Fox coordinates projects where students have a chance to play with color mixing/theory and embrace the unexpected when painting. Often the biggest "oops" becomes a treasured highlight. Sharing an understanding of color empowers students to explore their own creativity along with building confidence to take on future projects... no matter the size.
Collaborative mural painting has become a staple of Allison's offered projects. Not only does the memorable experience bring a body of students together, it offers an active, tacktile project while building connection and confidence. These large-scale works wonderfully capture layers of brushstrokes from each and every participant.
Connect with like-minded learners from across the Pacific Northwest to exchange ideas, resources, and support our Arts in Education programs here in the Gorge.

Projects begin by determining a site for the mural, collaborative brainstorming/design with participating students/faculty, design approval, site prep and design transfer followed by all-hands-on-deck painting. Allison Bell Fox will streamline the overall process to ensure the mural project runs smoothly throughout the collaboration. Projects require 4+ days to complete depending on size and complexity.

Silk painting is a fantastic medium to explore color mixing while creating wonderfully soft works of art. From creating individual silk handkerchiefs to large silk tapestries... the process of painting with silk dye is simply lovely with the added feature of easy water cleanup in a classroom setting. Allison Bell Fox will provide the necessary silk and dye. Projects require 2+ days to complete depending on size and complexity
