I have a belief that art-making is an instinctual act — an expression that lives within all of us. With the right materials, space, and sense of curiosity we are able to set ourselves free into a flow state. My own creative journey began with journaling as a way to give shape to thoughts and then manifested into a desire to craft with any materials that came my way. Over time, this practice evolved into a broader exploration textiles, found and/or natural objects, paper, color, and pattern.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, with a background in outdoor education, and have worked with kids in a variety of settings. I am also an entreprenuer that creates practical objects that are functional and unique. Making art and carrying on craft with kids is what I believe will assist us in not only reconnecting to ourselves & each other, but also offers a shared human experience that benefits our communities as a whole.
