Holly brings industry knowledge and hands-on craftsmanship to every project with over 30 years of experience in designing and pattern making for functional apparel, accessories, and home décor. Her work is grounded in an appreciation for how form, structure, and materials come together to serve real-world needs.
Holly loves teaching through the lens of the natural world, exploring bio-mimicry and how nature’s designs have evolved to survive, adapt, and support the ecosystems around them. By studying patterns found in plants, animals, and natural systems, students are encouraged to see design as a living, responsive process rather than a fixed outcome.
At the design table, Holly brings a fresh perspective that nurtures critical thinking,
imagination, and problem-solving. Her teaching style invites kids to contribute ideas freely, experiment boldly, and trust their creative instincts. Through learning to sew, students gain not only technical skills, but also confidence, patience, and pride in making something with their own hands.
“My goal is to inspire young makers to see creativity as a powerful tool—one that connects observation with innovation and self-expression.”
