I grew up in Montana and have a BA from Montana State University in Graphic Design and Printmaking. I love to create. I use art for journaling and soul calming. My house is filled with art supplies and my daughter and I often have several projects going on at once (much to my husbands dismay). Creating Art makes me happy.

I love any form of art! I have taught many mediums; from printmaking, block printing, silk painting, watercolor, sewing, book making/binding, mosaics, charcoal drawing, etc. I like to bring Art History into my teaching when possible. I love color. I love textures and to hold and manipulate materials in my hands. I love to create and watch what happens during that process. It fascinates me to see kids get lost in the projects of creativity when it is open and they are engaged in the process. I belive that anyone can create, and that the purpose of teaching art is to teach that art is a verb, an activity that instills calm and peace in our minds and bodies as we participate.
