I am inspired by connection to the natural world and the people I encounter through my work and travel. The arts give me a place to explore and express, every single day. I work closely with K12 students, teachers, organizations, elders, school districts and nonprofits in Oregon, Washington, Alaska and Hawaii rooted in intercultural understanding, visual arts exploration, and healing-centered engagement to amplify student voice through visual and digital storytelling. I am grateful for my early teachers at the University of Colorado at Boulder and the Oregon College of Art and Craft for encouraging my artistic curiosity and always challenging me to respect and question the world around me. When I am not creating or teaching, I am playing in my garden, riding my road bike, hiking, skiing or traveling with my husband, Paul and my two daughters.
